Hybrid inverters are a popular choice for off-grid or backup power systems. 5. Grid-Tie Inverter

Grid-tie inverters are designed to work with utility grids. They convert DC power from solar panels into AC power and synchronize it with the grid supply. These inverters do not have backup capabilities and require a stable grid connection to function properly. Grid-tie inverters allow you to offset your electricity consumption by exporting excess energy back to the grid, often resulting in energy credits or reduced electricity bills.

String inverters are cost-effective, while micro inverters and power optimizers provide improved performance in certain situations.
